1st page on Google search

Every blog starts with just 1 post. 1 post will not rank high in Google. Even with the highest SEO possible you still can’t rank 1st page. If it does rank on the 1st page, you must have a very very solid post. Something that may change the world. Normally it will not last long before your rank drop and you start to go page 2 or more.

Rank 1st page on Google is a very important thing. More organic traffics mean you pay less on pay per click. If possible you do not have to pay a cent to Google. Google will still bring you quality traffics.

Here is how I did it. 1st I pick a topic that I have most of the resource. Instead of doing just 1 post, I’ll break it up to multiple posts and publish them between posts. Each post must be complete by its own.

Here is an example of a group of posts that work together to rank higher on Google search. The topic is RemoteJoy Lite. It is a plugin that enable your Playstation Portable (PSP) to be viewable on PC via USB link. Not just that, you also can control your PSP using any game controller from your PC. This way you can make your PSP a game console like PS3, XBox360, or Wii.

Keywords:

Keywords are important. Do keywords research on Google free keyword tool. Here is the link. Find keywords that have more search. Sometime it is good also to do the opposite. It depends on how you want your audience to view it. You also put keywords in your post, not just in SEO. Use keywords in every sentence you write. This is called long tail keyword. Keywords that make you distinct from others. Something from your niche that sales low volume but high value. It can be hard for starter, but after awhile it will become second nature.

Not all keywords work the same. Users normally search multiple keywords. Even mistake keywords also count in the scope. One common example that I see on my post is “light” instead of “lite”. Include these also in the post. Try to use more root words, use “install” instead of “installation”.

Here are some keywords that rank my blog 1st on Google search:

  • How to set up remotejoy lite
  • RemoteJoy 0.19
  • RemoteJoy 0.19 GUIDE
  • Type B driver for remotejoy
  • How to install remotejoy lite
  • Remotejoy light
  • Installation remotejoy lite 0.19 released
  • RemoteJoy lite screenshot
  • RemoteJoy 0.17
  • RemoteJoy guide
  • RemoteJoy problem Driver
  • RemoteJoy installation
  • Remotejoy v0.18

Resource:

Talking about uniqueness, you must have your own resources. Photo must be yours, download must be from your blog. It maybe easy for you to use resources from the web, but for the long run it will hurt you. Therefore making your own resource is a must. Let others link to you. 1 post that have all of my own resources is http://www.playonmove.com/v2-install-remotejoy-lite/.

Photos are mine, download file is mine. Some provide partial of the files to make RemoteJoy Lite works and link to other website for the rest of the file. As user, I see this as tedious. Working in an engineering firm that is one stop total solution help me understand this concept the hard way. If you provide the solution free, user will even help you promote your blog.

Links:

You need to link each of the post to each other. That’s how it works. User may find a post of your blog and may want to find other info about it. Let me show you 1 example. We have 1 potential RemoteJoy user. He did Google search and landed on 1 of your blog post. It is not what he want. He landed on RemoteJoy Lite download but it is an older version. He want a newer 1, he also wants to know how to install it. In that post, I’ll link up how to install RemoteJoy Lite plus link to the newer RemoteJoy version.

This method have its advantages. 1st the user can find what he wants, 2nd he will have an impression that you always update your blog. The next time a new version of RemoteJoy Lite been released, the 1st place he would find is your blog. This creates loyal viewers to your blog.

Closing:

Let the synergy works. If 1 post did not get ranked other will help pull it. The most important thing for search engine is whether your information is useful or not. If you did you keywords research and SEO well, you can do this every time. Try it, play with it, make sure you have a good tracker to see your traffics are from and along the way have fun!

Google AdSense – From About.com

March 2nd, 2009 Anthony Comments off

Google AdSense is the Google program where you can host pay-per-click ads on your Web site. When someone clicks an ad, you earn money. Simple as that.

Is it really as easy to make money with Google AdSense as many would lead you to believe? Now that I’ve become heavily involved with managing Google AdSense programs for my clients, I can see it’s not all play and no work.

Unfortunately, a lot of people bought into the idea that there was a lot of easy money to be made and they are now finding out they aren’t making nearly as much as they thought they would. Additionally, Google has a lot of prohibited practices when it comes to AdSense, and too many Webmasters are finding out they violated Google’s policies after the fact – often because they never bothered to read the AdSense policies in the first place.

Checklist For 2009!

February 16th, 2009 Anthony Comments off

The new year 2009 might be a tough year for many businesses but if you do it correctly, it can be a very successful year for you.

Before you start with new things, you should make sure that your current website is up-to-date. The following checklist will help you:

Step 1: Check your company information

  • Does your about page draw a current picture of your company? If you have a staff listing on your website, is it up-to-date?
  • Check these pages as well as the copyright notice and the privacy police of your website to make sure that your web pages don’t look outdated.

Step 2: Check your contact information

  • Does your website list your current phone and fax numbers? Are the mailing and email addresses listed on your website correct? You’ll lose customers if your contact information is outdated.
  • You should also check the email addresses that you use on your website. Are help@yourdomain.cominfo@yourdomain.com,order@yourdomain.com, etc. redirected to the correct recipient? Send test email messages to all addresses that are listed on your website.
  • Many businesses have so strong spam filters that many legit customer email messages don’t reach them.
  • If you have contact forms on your website, make sure that they work and that they are easy to use. If someone doesn’t enter a correct email address in your contact form, does the error message make sense?

Step 3: Check your auto-responders

  • Do you send automated confirmation messages when someone sends you an email message? Does your shopping cart send email messages after an order?
  • Check the text of your automated messages to make sure that it says what you want to say and that is contains current information.

Step 4: Check the links on your website

  • The older your website is and the more pages your website has, the more likely it is that it contains some broken links. For that reason, you should regularly check the links on your website.
  • A great FREE Resource for checking links on your site is the The FREE Online Broken Link Checker

Step 5: Check if your web pages are ready for Google

  • If you want to get high rankings on Google, you must make sure that it’s easy for Google to parse your web pages.
  • Can Google easily find all of your web pages? Do you target the right keywords on your web pages?
  • Are all elements of your web pages optimized for Google?
  • You can check this with the MHS TOP 10 Analysis.

The economic times are tough but it also depends on you whether 2009 will be a successful year for your website or not. If you do the right things, chances are that your website will help you to get more customers this year.
